Choose a Heading Font and a Text Font under Fonts. They can differ.

The defaults

Porchlight sets headings in Gabarito, a friendly, round sans set large, and body text in Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, a font designed for readers with low vision. Shoppers of every age read it easily on a small screen. Neither font has Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese or Korean letters, so text in those languages shows in the visitor's system font.

Included fonts

Gabarito, Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, Hanken Grotesk, Nunito Sans, Figtree, DM Sans and Inter, two serifs (Lora and Fraunces), and two stacks that load nothing: System (the visitor's interface font) and Georgia. Included fonts load from Google Fonts, only the ones you pick.

Your store's own font

If your store uses its own font, use it here too so the help center feels like part of the shop.

  1. Get the stylesheet link for your font. On Google Fonts, select the font and its weights (400, 600 and 700 are enough) and copy the address in the <link> it gives you. Adobe Fonts gives you a link to a web project. A font on your own site needs a CSS file with its @font-face rules.
  2. Paste the link in FontsCustom font stylesheet.
  3. Write the family name in FontsCustom font name, exactly as the font service names it, for example Open Sans.
  4. Set Heading Font, Text Font or both to Custom font (set below).

While the font loads, or if the name doesn't match, text shows in the visitor's system font.

No external fonts

For a help center that loads nothing from third parties, set both fonts to System or Georgia and leave the custom font empty. Code blocks always use the visitor's own monospace font.
