This policy applies to customers, users and others using Screendesk's recording, sharing, call, AI, API or integration features. It forms part of the Terms. A separately signed agreement prevails, subject to law.

1. Respect people and their information

Do not use Screendesk to:

  • Record, monitor or disclose people or their information without a lawful basis, required notices and consents, including covert employee or customer surveillance.
  • Exploit children, distribute child sexual abuse material, threaten violence, promote unlawful hate or carry out targeted harassment or doxing.
  • Impersonate another person, commit fraud, phish for credentials, or deceptively manipulate audio or video to harm others.
  • Infringe intellectual-property, confidentiality or privacy rights, or distribute content you have no right to share.
  • Collect unnecessary secrets or sensitive data, or evade a person's legitimate privacy choices.

Capturing a legitimate software issue is permitted, including technical evidence needed to diagnose it. Minimize unrelated content, restrict the recipients, and follow the recording and sensitive-data requirements in the Terms.

2. Protect the service

Do not introduce malware, steal credentials, access another customer's workspace, circumvent permissions or usage limits, interfere with availability, or conduct intrusive testing without written authorization. Do not resell service access, misrepresent your affiliation, or use unauthorized scraping to obtain other users' content. Reverse engineering is restricted only to the extent permitted by law.

Use documented APIs within applicable limits. Exporting your own content through supported methods is allowed. We may proportionately limit abusive traffic to protect the service and will explain and help resolve the issue when feasible. Unexpected legitimate usage should be discussed with us rather than hidden through account or token splitting.

3. AI and connected workflows

Follow the AI Terms. Do not use generated content or automations for unlawful discrimination, deception, abusive mass messaging or decisions prohibited by those terms. Review destinations and permissions before connecting a third-party service or enabling actions that send or publish information.

4. Reporting abuse or a vulnerability

Email support@screendesk.io with the relevant URL or workspace, a description of the issue, approximate time and a safe way to contact you. Do not send passwords or unnecessary personal data. Ask for a secure transfer method if sensitive evidence is needed.

For a suspected vulnerability, stop after obtaining enough evidence to demonstrate the issue without accessing other users' data or disrupting the service. Report it privately and allow a reasonable opportunity to investigate. This policy does not authorize unrestricted security testing.

5. How we respond

We assess reports in context and may ask for more information. Depending on severity, we may request a correction, restrict sharing, remove unlawful material or suspend affected access under the Terms. Where lawful and practical, we provide a reason, an opportunity to remedy and a way to request review by replying to support. Urgent threats or legal requirements can require immediate action.

We protect reporters' information and disclose it only when necessary for investigation, protection of rights or a legal obligation. We cannot promise absolute anonymity or a fixed response time for every report. Knowingly false or abusive reports are prohibited. We apply this policy to harmful conduct, not disagreement or lawful criticism.
